Through its partners UNOPS and Climate Analytics, CAFI is helping translate climate ambitions into concrete investments, financing strategies, and implementation mechanisms for a low-carbon and climate-resilient future.
Central African Republic launches its first national Payments for Environmental Services project
The Central African Republic has launched its first national Payments for Environmental Services project. Funded by CAFI with $10 million and implemented by UNDP, it will reward communities around Bangui that protect forests, with payments made directly after results are verified.
