Cameroon’s National Fund for the Development of coffee and cocoa (FODECC) has been piloting an ambitious program to sustainably intensify cocoa and coffee farming while combating deforestation. Through its “Producers’ Counter” the project supports more than 120,000 producers (target: 600,000 by 2027) with electronic grants, business plans, and innovative digital tools. It encourages agroecological transition, quality improvement, and productivity while preserving natural forests. The initiative is fully in line with Cameroon’s National Development Strategy for 2030.
