The Central Africa Forest Initiative (CAFI) Executive Board and its Secretariat express their sincere condolences to the passing of H.E. Mr. Clément MOUAMBA, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Congo, on 29 October 2021.
H.E. Clément MOUAMBA piloted the partnership between the Republic of Congo and CAFI from its inception and was the architect of its success, showcased by the Letter of Intent signed at the highest political level by H.E. Denis SASSOU-NGUESSO, President of the Republic, on September 03, 2019. He demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the nation's ambition in the forest cover protection and sustainable management of natural resources. He put personal will and energy to include his Office and the entire government in this ambitious partnership with CAFI.
The CAFI Executive Board and its Secretariat extend their deepest condolences to his relatives and political family, to his successor, H.E. Anatole Collinet MAKOSSO, and to the Republic of Congo.
