Distributing Improved Cookstoves in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire to Combat Deforestation (Lituka)

The Lituka project aims to provide households in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire with sustainable alternatives to current wood-energy practices by acting on one of the causes of anthropogenic pressure on the resource: demand for fuel.

The theory of change at the heart of the project is based on the conviction that a change in practices at household level can only be sustainable if the cooker production and marketing chain is structured and has the technical and financial capacity to scale up production and sales, and if markerting solutions and financial facilities are offered to the players in this chain.
