Results to date

Final cumulative results at project closure include :
  • Biological assessments and socioeconomic studies were conducted in Plateaux Batékés and Monts Fouari. Satellite analysis identified sensitive habitats and high conservation value areas across these landscapes and Mayumba and Mwagna. The initial studies package was completed for Plateaux Batékés, supporting further consultation and legal designation.
  • Participatory mapping covered 24 villages in Plateaux Batékés, documenting livelihoods and community land uses to inform conservation planning.
  • Two laboratories for soil analysis and geographic information systems were built and equipped at ADAG. Initial soil sampling and mapping campaigns were conducted in Haut-Ogooué and Ogooué-Lolo to support agricultural land-use planning.
  • A draft agricultural land tenure law was developed, validated through interministerial consultation and submitted to the Government, proposing a framework for clarifying agricultural land rights
