The Capacity Building for Land-Use Planning Project in Cameroon, funded by CAFI, aims to strengthen the country’s ability to plan land use sustainably and reduce deforestation. It focuses on improving legal frameworks, planning instruments, and institutional capacities at national, regional, and local levels. The project trains specialists, standardizes planning tools, and promotes multi-sector dialogue among government, civil society, and research institutions. It also supports the development of implementing texts for land-use laws and coordination platforms for agricultural and infrastructure planning. By enhancing governance and technical expertise, the project seeks to align land-use planning with climate and conservation goals.
