Three years ago, the Government of DRC and CAFI signed an ambitious Letter of Intent to implement the country’s REDD+ Investment plan.
In less than three years, integrated programmes covering 8 provinces, 6 sectoral programmes and 3 cross cutting programmes were approved by the DRC National Fund Steering Committee.
Reforms in several sectors, transformational changes in the way lands and natural ressources are used, and truly inclusive processes – in the 11th world’s largest country with complex development challenges – do not happen in 3 years.
